Some time ago I posted a 1909-S VDB here on the forum. The consensus here was that it was au-55 ish. I finally sent it off for grading early last month after obsessing about it for some time. I logged into PCGS' website today and it is... AU-58! Even higher than I thought!  I did take everyone's advice and didn't do anything to it, sent it to PCGS and sent it direct, not through any shop. This is not what I would have done if left to my own devices, so I must say I appreciate everyone's advice here, I couldnt be happier with the results. Should be out for delivery in the next day or two, I can't wait to have it back in my grubby paws. Congrats! Gotta love the Key Dates, especially in higher grades!

Congrats! Looking at your pictures I was worried that the couple green spots might prevent it from being slabbed. Glad you got it slabbed under, presumably as a problem free coin!

I'd like to see it in person so could you send it to me for inspecting when you get it back?  Kind of thing that could get lost in the mail or even on my desk.  Realllly nice looking coin. Congradulations. |
