Hey,I have a fun idea to use all those magician coins we turn up Kennedy half roll searching. When you find one, open it up and put a small note inside with your initials, where found and date found. Then put it back into circulation. The next person who finds it can then add their initials and date....lather rinse repeat and we can see where these coins travel to....sort of a "where's George" for coins.

Sounds like it'd be fun but it could be a decade before it turns up in the hands of a collector again

As noted it could just end up in a collectors jar, Folder, Album, can, etc. Or if taken to a bank, noted as a fake and crushed. And remember that not all magician coins are the hollowed out ones. Many are the two faced or two tailed ones. Some are made magnetic to jump to a hand with a magnet. If there is a magicians supply near you, try going there. We have one near me and there are numerous tricks with and for coins there.

Worth a try....Start a thread for that...then inside the coin make sure you put the threads internet address so if/when its opened up they will go to the specific thread to report back...

It does sound like fun and certainly "Where's George-y". But as other folks have suggested I'm not sure how many hits you'd get, if any. Can't hurt to try on your next one though.

Put a GPS chip in it and then start a website where we can follow the coin as it moves..........

Teach, That's the best idea I've heard in a long time (assuming a GPS chip would fit)?!?!

Speaking of "magicians" I've become quite the coin magician over the past year or so. Good bar tricks anyway if that constitutes a "good magician"
