Ok, so this is a powe seller so should be legit but it don't add up...some guy with an old collection, squirreled away, no one knows about it..family sells house with all the contents...buyers get big collection...and it's being auctioned off piece by piece (and I still don't really know what the buyer is buying even after looking at the auction) but one thing sticks out...COPIES? WTH...Copies? I don't think so. http://www.ebay.com/itm/WINCHESTER-...refresh=trueSeems to be no end to the marketing ploys... Earl Edited by EarlB 01/21/2012 3:16 pm

It's a relisting. I've seen this auction listed many times before in the past year, year and a half.
Take a look at his negitive feedback, most are about the junk coins....

He used to go by the name numismaticbureau and he is a basement slabber as INB, where he puts pocket change in Coin World slabs as MS 70's and PF 70's. He runs about a dozen different ads continiously, all with neat stories so you will overpay for junk.

As a newbie about 6 years ago I fell for one of his ads. Coins came, what junk!

Wow, nice to know. There should be a section of the board here on who are good reliable sellers and who the scammers are - if there is, please point me to it! :)
Funny, I've collected alot of things over the years mostly WW2 militaria and firearms and of course there are the scammers and perpetual relisters in that area..never thought I'd have to look at the same coins over and over and over again too :)

Under the Auctions sections there are threads for both recommended and discouraged sellers.

Looks like a total scam to me. I wish these people would get scammed as they are scamming others.

His auction states: Quote: Inside the clock were many "cigar boxes" of coins and it appears to be collectibles and copy coins of old American designs, from about 1797 to 1850 or so. Yet blowing up the pics you can see what appears to be a slabbed, modern Presidential dollar and slabbed Jeffersons from the buffalo/handshake/Ocean View series. Would this not be reportable ebay fraud?
