I only bought 2 coins at the Long Beach show and this was the better one. I'd been looking for this date and the dealer gave me an excellent price. How do you think it should grade?

nice mint state Half Cent...TPG reject for gash on reverse
still nice for a type set or to fill an album

I do not believe that hit ot gash on the Reverse would make it ungradable and I agree with the 61-62 grades given above

You guys were spot on. I agree that the minor hits (most serious on A of HALF) don't rise to the level of a "problem". The grade-limiting factor IMO is that the brown toning has mostly eliminated whatever original luster was present. Brown coppers CAN have significant cartwheel luster but this one doesn't. Still, a sweet and welcome deal for $260!

I swear I did not see the grade in the address, as the url was longer than the window was wide, I noticed my photos were the same so I've changed the names before uploading to photobucket for the grading contest.
