Hello, new here so I hope I'm in the right spot. I have a 1944 Wheat penny that has Lincoln wearing a helmet, war like. Has anyone ever heard of one of these? I cannot seem to find out any info on it. Thanks

I have a feeling its a hobo-type of cent. It's artwork tug into the coins surfaces to alter the appearance. They are actually quite popular.

A pic would be cool to see, but I think it is a carved or hobo cent. Not many are done on cents as nickels, but they can be done on any coin.
