So , curious here on who you may recommend for a first time submitter . Does it matter ? (that I never submitted before ?)

Im stuck between ANACS / PCGS ..

Leaning towards anacs cause about 80% of my collection is Morgan silver dollars .. And I've read they are pretty extensive with the VAM attributions ...

Altho , I have heard PCGS also is pretty well versed in that field also , just some Differences ..

basicly , just curious of some opinions as to who may be my best bet ... I know alot of you have done this A bunch of times and may have used Both if not alll of the major known TPG's ..

Im still in NO rush to submit , just researching as much as I can .. and tring to get a plan of attack once I am ready to take the plunge ... (still studing the ANA grading Standards book just to make sure it all sticks)

Thanks guys , appreciate anyones input here ..

I would go with ANACS definitely. Direct submissions, and not $30 per coin like PCGS.

ANACS has John Roberts as the Authenticator - he is one of the best, though to be honest if the coins are for re-sale and high dollar value, you will probably realize a larger profit potential with PCGS, but the cost of submitting is a lot higher. ANACS usually has a $10.00 per coin special once or twice each year for Morgans and Peace dollars and/or varitiey attributions are also free then.

Thanks guys for the quick replies ,

So far I have ZERO intentions to sell any of my morgans off (maybe some doubles but doubt I would send them to grading)

and I've read about Mr.Roberts , and to be honest, thats one of the reasons I feel comfortable that the coins would be properly Attributed going through ANACS .. But on the other hand ,
PCGS , has me on that Hook of the re-sale value maybe being worth it .. so

i guess thats part two of the question ..

Say I have a KNOWN rarity , would you suggest I send them coins to PCGS ..?
im guessing thats where it comes down to *depending on the coin and rarity* who I send them to ?

I'm with westcoin on resale of PCGS. If you have a rarity on your hand, I would say PCGS over ANACS. There holders will command more value come time to sell, especially if were talking thousands of dollars. PCGS has a more secure holder too IMO.

Awesome , Then thats the route I would most likely decide to run with ..

Rare with a nice heavy premium - PCGS

my others will be making its Way to ANACS most likely ,
unless I decide to go with Variety Slabbing services VAM attribution (which I've been tossing around for some of my already PCGS graded coins that I purchased over the past year that have not been attributed yet wit a VAM number)
,then I may go all around with PCGS and just have VSS check them for VAMS that PCGS may overlook or not recognize ..

But still , plenty of time to get a all around game plan .. I'm thinking I may contact VSS when the time comes , and see about that plan .. then go from there ..

Thanks for your suggestion Vermontensium --
much appreciated
