Just picked her up at the Westford show today. Thoughts?

VAM-5, a pretty cool (but fairly common) coin with a lot going on. Note the area under the 18 in the date, and the polishing at the wingtips and under the eagle's right (viewer's left) wing. Gouge in the eagle's mouth, as well. 63-ish, and possibly PL noting the nice contrast between fields and devices. Me like.

The fields have a few marks, but the cheek is relatively clean. MS-64+

MS64 if the scrape on the nose area is not too deep, sometimes these can be misleading in a photo, they either photgraph to make it look worse than it really is.

Thank you all for the comments and the VAM attribution. Most of the scrapes around the nose area are not deep. The photo does not show it well but the deepest marks happen to be line by the chin and a couple on the upper part of the neck. I graded it a MS-63+ PL because a large portion of the cheek has very little chatter. I showed it to one of the dealers at the show and was told MS-61 PL.

While I'm thinking about rims and everything, is that a couple of rim dents at the 1:30 position on the reverse, near the tip of the eagle's wing? Edit: uploaded pic to show

Quote: is that a couple of rim dents at the 1:30 position on the reverse, near the tip of the eagle's wing? Those are a couple of bag marks, luckily not in a particularly grade sensitive area. Quote: Maybe an MS63 DMPL? I don't know about DMPL but print from about 4" away reflects clearly on the coin.
