I'm not sure how many people know that I am only 18 years old (I never really mentioned it on any threads). Last night was my commencement for high school graduation (Class of 2012), and my parents gave me a War of 1812 fine silver proof set as a gift. I have never been a huge fan of NCLT, but this is a very nice set. *Not my images. But it's the same set. Edited by Canadian-Banknotes 10/06/2012 7:43 pm

Congratulation graduating HS CB,
Have you make up your mind what you want to major in?

Thanks macmercury,
I will be going to school for Business, next fall.
The first two years (I believe) you learn the basics of Accounting, Marketing, Finance, etc. then the next two years, you will "specialize" in whatever you want, so I will be doing Economics and Finance.

Congrats on graduation! Is it normal for it to be this late in the year for you guys in Canada? Graduations down here are normally in April or May.

I know some schools in Canada do graduation in June, but my school (and the others in this district) has always done it in October or November.

Congratulations on graduating and on the great looking set! I also do not normally like most NCLT, but this set is spectacular and very special being a gift from your parents on a special day in your life. It already has some good personal history to it.

My advice, take a year off to really get to know yourself. Many young people these days are rushed or pressured into going to university for no good reason.

I am 21 and rushed into university as soon as I finished school. After the first semester I found my heart wasnt in it and I just wanted to explore the world a bit.
After having done that for a year and a half I've gone back to university doing geology and am much better off for it. Having a year or two off really helps to settle you so you can work out what you want.
Very nice set by the way!

Quote: Not too late to switch to Geology We used to called Geology "Rocks for Jocks" 'cause every football player took it to raise their GPA. Geography was even better: colouring for credit. Seriously though, that is a great graduation present. Best of luck with your future studies.
