I look at every piece of change I receive and I never - never ever - find silver. Until today. 1964 Roosevelt in change at IHOP! And those New York Strawberry Cheesecake pancakes were danged good too!

And to think, I'd thought you'd be punished for eating at IHOP, not rewarded.

I have been searching for a silver quarter in pocket change since the late 70's. I haven't found one red cent, I mean one silver quarter.

Sweet. The only silver I've found in circulation is a couple beat-up War Nickels. Nice find!

You know, when I was younger (GAWD I sound old saying that LOL) I would find silver coins on a rather frequent basis. And did not really think about it even though I knew they were silver. Just never occurred to me to keep them until I was older and found them a lot less. Same goes for Ikes. Used to spend those all the time.
So cool find dude!

I don't think I ever found silver in change since the 70s till this recession. In change I've found about three War Nickels a year since '08, about four silver FDRs overall, a couple of 40% Kennedys from bank requests and way back to '03 six Mercury dimes all at once in a cash register. That was a fun day.

I found a heavily toned silver dime in change a year or so ago also and I never ever look through my change. I just threw it in the jug and I saw it was toned so I pulled it out and it was a 1964 silver dime

Mine looks very similar to yours, Bryan except the toning on mine is a little more uneven. The only reason I probably even looked at it was because of the toning. Since I can't see for squat since I turned 40, I looked at the edge and didn't see the clad colors. Got out my loupe and sure enough, a 64.
