I'm thinking MS-64 but that big hit on the cheek may hold it back at MS-63 level.

Beautiful coin!! I love the 1882 Morgan's! Especially the CC! 100 years before my birthday! I'd have to guess MS-63... Possibly a 62?

I say MS63 all day long. Those extra bag hits on the cheek are nothing out of the ordinary unfortunately.
Looks like a VAM3A?

63? Remember that sometimes older holders were very conservatively graded and some can even upgrade.

seems like nice condition, but decent number of marks. I had guessed MS63 before I check what others said, and it looks like we're agreed.

MS-63 I also see some diagnostics on the reverse for a VAM 3A, I would need some larger pics of the obverse around the date area and Liberty's ear to tell for sure. just my opinion. very nice coin.

Looks like a VAM3A? Agreed on all counts. Even if there's insufficient detail to confirm the die state, the characteristic die crack at STATES puts it at VAM-3. Fortunately, most of the stages of this die pair have standout attributes so narrowing it down is easy.

Easy MS63 but overall eye appeal plus the "CC bump" that sometimes seems in play could garner an MS-64. Nice frosty coin, with no trace of proof-like character. For those wondering how to identify proof-like Morgans this would be a good example of one that is not!

I am going to say 63, but could be a 64 if the graders didn't have arguments with their wives the night before.

It looks like it's one clash short of the plate coin on VAMworld for VAM3A but definitely past the VAM3 die state. It may actually be a VAM3 LDS as the clashed N has not appeared on the neck yet.

I tend to be all over the place with my guesses, but I'm going to say MS-62. That big gash toward the back of Liberty's cheek looks like a dealbreaker to me for a higher grade.

I think that it slipped into an MS-64 grade. The cheek gash is a bit painful, but the overall eye appeal is there. And, as has been stated, it's a CC.
