EF45* I think, looks like an older cleaning, not very distracting to the coin, but it appears to have changed the color slightly, I don't see enough diamonds to go full AU, the detail is there in the strike just a bit too much wear I think. Details or not as to whether or not NGC called it that way, I'm inclined to say they did not. Great key date coin BrickellCat! *Would not be surprised to see this coin in an AU holder at holder at all. It's a nice one.

I think the color looks okay.
It's a very nice coin overall, but I don't like what's going on with the headband and LIBERTY at all. Compared to the rest of the coin, it's pretty beat-up. You basically have an AU coin with a LIBERTY/headband around VF-30. I'm going to guess that the coin was actually graded XF-45. I wouldn't be surprised if it got AU-50, but if I were buyer I would pay only XF money for this coin.

It does appear to have suffered some excessive abrasion on the LIBERTY band. Overall wear is just enough to knock it out of AU territory and there doesn't appear to be much if any luster remaining. I don't see anything that would earn a "problem" slab.
I'd call it a solid XF-40 on average; I wouldn't be surprised if it got XF-45 from NGC.

I agree that this somwwhere between an EF-45 and a AU-50, but I don't see much mint luster. EF-45

AU details - light corrosion. Still much nicer than the one I don't have...

My first impression of this coin was an AU-50 based solely on the photo's. after reading the other comments, I'm inclined to drop that assessment but I'm going to go with my initial thoughts. I don't see any reason for it to come back with a details grade. Very nice coin.
