Does any one know the seller? If I were to buy, I would like to see them in hand first. $75,000 is a lot of hooch! Due diligence is essential here.

From the seller's name he is Brian Howard Art, and when googled he comes up as a comic book dealer. Maybe not the best person to purchase raw gold from, not that there is anything wrong with that, he may be a coin expert for all I know, I'd just want to see these up front before laying out cash like that. I'm betting he took these in on consignment from a collector that bought them raw in the 80's as MS65 investment grade coins and lost a bundle, but can now recoup some losses due to gold price moving up so much the past few years. But what do I know - I'm just guessing!

Interesting. Hard to know what to think about this listing. Last coin on the list is '1922 dollar', listing title is 'Antique US Gold...". I haven't studied the list but at a glance I see one of the pictures labeled '1935 1/2 Eagle, Bust type, AU'. Not a bust type-- not made that year-- it's a Classic Head.

Actually it is an 1835 half eagle...but this whole listing does not look right.
Lemme do the math: $75,000 divided by 100 coins is $750 per coin. My gut says you would wind up with nuthin'.

If in doubt, call him on the telephone. He lists a number. If he was closer I'd drive over and view the coins. He's looking for a fast flip even though he'd be better off selling them one at a time.

It ships from Long Island New York, but has a New Jersey phone number. I don't trust it, lol...

Does sound too good to be true. Wouldn't but it unless I saw it in person first.

Check out his other items, 1000 pounds of coins and 910 pounds of coins. Both over $220,000.

Oh, now you're talking! Wait, he does not have any 3 cent nickels. I guess I will have to pass on these.
