Quote: Early buyers do hope, however, to get their set(s) quicker and some will send their new coins off to a grading service to get "First Strike" or "Early Releases" designations. Like it or not, coins graded with such designations tend to sell for more. http://www.coinnews.net/2013/05/09/...-set-orders/Are these designations, attributions & pedigree cut off dates from May 9th to June 9th or 30 days from the mints post mark date ?http://www.ngccoin.com/services/earlyreleases.aspxQuote: To qualify for Early Releases, all coins must generally be received by NGC or an NGC-approved depository within 30 days of their release. but must arrive within the time period described above. This is the default label for coins received within their first 30 days of issue.

New shipping date, order now, get your set 9/30/2013.
Now who was it that was complaining that Provident Metals was taking 3 weeks to ship after payment ?

Glad I added some Theo. Roosevelt Presidential dollars to my order. Two 100-coin bags (P&D), which will get a free expedited shipping upgrade because I combined them with my West Point ASE order. And the Dollars are listed as in stock, so they'll ship way before July 25th...

This set has struck my interest since I don't yet own a reverse proof American Eagle and as far as I know this is the first time that an enhanced uncirculated American Eagle has been offered. Is that correct?
Since I have not ordered from the US Mint recently and the shipping date now says end of September, is this US mint still adopting the policy that your credit card is not charged until the item is ready to be shipped?
Also am I correct on the following as per the types of American Eagles which have been made (remember that I have been living in the UK since 1998 and these are not exactly common over here).
Proof Reverse Proof Uncirculated Burnished Uncirculated Enhanced Uncirculated
Thanks, Ken

Thanks for the information. Have a set on order now, it will be going from the US Mint to Rhode Island and then to England. I will probably end ip seeing the set around Christmas time.
With the help of my another CCF member, it looks like I will have a burnished one in the future as well.

What's up with the counter on the website. It seems to have been stuck at 138k for quite a while. There's no telling how high the real number is up to.
Also, Kena, that group sounds like a great mini-set to put together. Are any of those strikes ultra-rare/expensive?

Quote: Now who was it that was complaining that Provident Metals was taking 3 weeks to ship after payment ? I was. They had cash in hand and supposedly had stock on hand ready to ship. They said nothing about 3 weeks to put my order together AFTER they had good funds. The mint on the other hand charges the same price for cash vs. credit, doesn't charge you until it ships (or close) and tells you before accepting your order when they will have inventory to ship. (Which from my experience is usually later than when they will actually ship, they understand the whole under promise, over deliver thing). I much, MUCH prefer the mints policies to that of Provident. Oh, and I did get my order today and there is a nice big black mark right across one of my Philharmonics. AWESOME! Wonder if their return policy is a good as the US Mint?

Looks like this set will almost certainly pass last years.
@Merc since its bullion they wont let you return it but if you ask them if you could do a swap I've never had any problems with them doing that
