I was wondering if you have to request this and pay an extra fee, or the TPGs only do this on certain coins. For instance, I have seen quite a few 37-D 3 leggers placed where the reverse is with the front of the slab. I was wondering if they would do this with some beautifully toned War Nickels I have.

I don't know if you have to pay extra or request it but I would not pay extra,i would just flip the slab over.If there is no extra charge I would request it though.

They will usually do that on request, but since it is not the normal procedure there is a modest chance they will miss the request and put it in normally. If they do and you really want it the other way you can always have it reholdered.

I had a buddy send a textile Morgan to PCGS without saying a thing.
They put the beautiful reverse side facing front.
You may want to request though.

I've seen a few slabbed coins where the coin was in sideways. That would just annoy me, as there is no way to fit it, with out cracking it out and getting a new salad.

Usually can be easily fixed with a few good whacks into your palm, or by using an electric toothbrush to vibrate the holder - causing the coin to rotate back to the correct poisition. Mostly on the older holders - the kind that don't use prongs or non edgeview holders. They don't call the first PCGS holders rattlers for nothing you know!

If you have a telephone you should call them and ask...Or, maybe you could email the TPG company and ask.

I see, about rotating the coin. I thought they were in there pretty firmly.

Sorry about the autocorrect. Typing on an iPad and it has a mind of its own. I suppose there is a way to turn off autocorrect....
