This large cent has less corrosion than the last one I posted ( https://goccf.com/t/153386 ), but rather more wear, a few distracting digs, and some less spectacular die errors.

Any thoughts on grading/value? God I love this series of coins.

Good eye amida17. Do you think it would fetch a details grade?

Unfortunately it may get details. Personally I hate to see a piece of copper like this in a slab. I do, however, understand slabbing for sales purposes. This coin even problem free does not warrant a slab imo.

I wouldn't slab it.

I agree with F12 Details.

I love these also. this is actually a nice example with an interesting die break and Cud. I'm grading this one a little different. obverse is VG8 reverse is F12. I'm giving this a net VG Details due to the corrosion but it has a decent eye appeal.

I also agree that these should not be slabbed, just my personal preference. If I was bidding on this, i'd go to $150 maybe a little higher if I was a variety collector looking one.

this an example of the S175 from the goldberg auction graded VF25 net F12. this copy does not have the die break and the Cud is smaller but they have a VF30 example that looks like yours. this one sold for $1323
