Poll Question
My first poll. I hope I set it up right. I see a lot of threads asking what other collectors like, or don't like. For me I think I like most all U.S. coins, well except SBA's. After 45 years of collecting I think what coins make up the bulk of my collection had to be some kind of indicator to what coins I like best. I have over 5000 Lincoln cents and over 5000 Washington quarters. Those numbers keep me wondering if they are my favorite coins. Of course I wish I had 5000 Morgan dollars, or gold coins. So price must be a factor also. I also wish I had more classic coins, but I know I like high grade coins better than low grade cons, again price must be a factor. If you care to make a vote ... Maybe post your opinion why you have more of one series over another. What coins make up the bulk of your collection?

The largest part of my U.S. collection is classic coins generally, which includes some gold. The next biggest part is 50 State Quarters and they were all taken from circulation. They cost me $12.50 in face value. That is my charitable contribution the the welfare of the U.S. People, because they will not be going back into circulation! They are a numismatic keepsake of a visit to the U.S. Actually, the U.S. coins are only a small part of my collection, and the Australian part is much smaller still.

Seated coinage mostly but I do have a bunch of Morgans and about 120 Mercury dimes. Others include a 1858 L.L. Flying Eagle, an 1875-S 20 Cent and a beautiful MS63 quarter eagle. These days I focus more on Canadian and world coinage.

Mine would be Morgans (About 700 or so, mostly VAMs) And 300-400 Two Cent Pieces of various varieties and oddities.

Since almost all of my American coins have come from tourists and visitors returning from America bringing their change home and giving it to me, then it stands to reason that almost all of them are the types that have been circulating for the past thirty years or so.

My collection spans the gambit from Half Cents to $20 gold pieces and early everything in between. Lincoln cents dominate the numbers but my favorites are IHC's (complete set), and Walking Liberty halves (missing 1), and I'm starting to build quite a collection of English coins covering from 1/3 farthings to crowns with dates going back to 1675. I'm constantly learning about this hobby and I have been branching out to both US and foreign currency.

Mine is mostly Lincoln cents, IHCs and nickels. Well, the State and ATB Quarters too, and Kennedy halves, and Sacagawea and Ike and Susan B. dollars, and...well, yeah. Mostly small cents though. I have a complete set of Lincolns (no proof though) and am nearly done with a second set, and I have all but a handful of IHCs. I have a BU and a circulated Jefferson nickel set (again, no proofs) and these are about 30-40% of my collection. I do also have a decent sized collection of Silver Eagles though.

Lincoln cents are the majority of my U.S coins, making up 267 out of a total 950 U.S. coins. With them running for over 100 years and in a most cases having 3 different mints, you need that many just to complete the set. Still need a couple more though. Steve

1,263 Lincoln cents followed by 277 Morgan dollars. BU rolls of 50's Wheats bump up the number of Lincolns. I'm not sure what would be third.

Jbuck ... I wasn't sure I could fit it in .... Will it let you type more than the space provided
I will try to add it
Edit: I am guessing I might have messed up some members vote.
I tried to keep the choices into different era's. So I added Kennedy, Franklin, Peace any Morgan's.

I did vote other even tho in numbers I probably have more Lincoln wheat cents than any other coins but I'm not going to count them.
The bulk of my collection is half dollars, Bust, seated, walking liberty, Franklin, Kennedy, and commemorative.
