Is this coin A-OK, or is there something wrong with it?

Good one CC 2012. Showing other threads helps big time!

The info in the other thread is not helpful. I posted the obverse and reverse of a 1932 S Quarter. It does not have the issues shown in the other thread.
Can I please get feedback on the coin I posted? Are there problems with it?

I do not see wrong anything in the photos.
If this is for purchase, I would not make a decision until I could see it in hand.

Appears to be a genuine example that has seen some level of circulation wear.
Impossible to judge the surfaces for originality based on the posted photos.

I might be the only one, but I am not sure if this coin is real. I have always thought the "S" should have a more square look. Not sure if CCF will let me post this link ... If so look at the photo of the mint mark in in one of the pics. It shows a more squared off mint mark. http://www.cointalk.com/threads/193...fake.204325/I am not sure if the coin you have pictured is real or fake, I would want to have it slabbed to be sure.

The "S" seems to have a different finish than the overall coin. It should be looked at very closely to make sure the S was not added. Just my Two Cents worth.

I do not see a problem. However, I would want to look at it in hand and certainly get an agreement from the seller guaranteeing it to come back from ANACS as being real.

Thanks for all the feedback. I guess only a reliable TPG can tell for sure.

If you want to send it in to a TPG go for it. Then again the money you will pay, ouch. Are there any reputable coin stores in your area? Try them and be specific with your question. Hope you find the answer.

From the posted pics it looks like an XF/AU'ish 32-S quarter. Looks like the pics were taken under florescent lighting and the photos probably aren't an exact representation of the coin.

The "s" looks suspicious to me

Appears genuine. I would want to see it in hand first. If he has a clear return policy or guarantee of his coins being genuine, I wouldn't worry about it.
