This one kills me, it's not a clash, it's a screw that was pressed into the obverse of the shield with a vice or some pliers - repeatedly too. NOT a Mint Error. GrapeCollects, That video was gnarly dude. Schrooms have taken their toll. If it weren't for the sun in my eyes in the youtube, seeing the unicorns, pixies and fairies in the background would have been a bit easier.

In regards to the Two Cent Piece I posted I thought I'd better grab a photo and put it up as well because it will go away soon enough. Anyone ever seen such a bad attempt at faking an error on a clash?   There is nothing that even looks remotely like that on the reverse anyways. Clash my backside! How about this "No FG" variety Kennedy that clearly shows a G that sold for $625.00? https://www.PCGS.com/cert/37065650  Or this 1972-D slabbed as No-FG sold for over $2,250!   Remember that each of these (and many others shown in the report accessible below), according to the graders:  From the above it seems PCGS is claiming that 3-4 expert graders specifically having an expertise in Kennedy half Dollars will assess submitted Kennedy halves. It would seem we should believe the hobby experts using 3-4 trained graders, especially 3-4 trained graders with a specialty in Kennedy halves will obviously be able to identify major Kennedy half varieties. So just how do these costly-to-faithful TPG collectors pass though this many graders/Kennedy specialist graders and enter the market? While the grading companies are not selling these items - the grading company trained "expert specialists" produce these false items that people/auctions sell for bug bucks! Could be a play where a low retail price is cited to justify a really low offer on the real thing? On the other hand, heaven help an honest would-be buyer if they think those things came out of the US Mint. |
