RoFro New Member United States 12 Posts	Posted 02/21/2014 8:44 pm Thanks for the quick response on the 1861 half, ground recovery from Feb 1st of this year. This Vermont copper, found about 3yrs back, may present a grading challenge. Recovered from a federal era foundation site along with 23 other pre-1819 coins. gweidion Valued Member Australia 134 Posts	Posted 02/21/2014 9:10 pm I know nothing when it comes to these sorts of coins but I couldn't see better than a G4 to 6 imo. I don't even know if that line across the middle is damage or meant to be there. Sorry I'm not being of any help. I'm sure we have much cleverer and better coin graders than me.
