I shall use my 250 post to give well disserved thank you to CCF. Special thanks to SsupperDdave, Fuzzy, all the Administrators, staff, Moderators, whose names I don't know, and all other persons posting. Along the way Darth, had some special teachable moments for me. And one other poster whose ID, I can't remember. Sorry to him. CCF has given me the only (free) tool to quickly advance my newbie coin interest. CCf has shown the way to get other (free) tools to advance my hobby, and strategies, to mix collection fun with financial ways to add to my collection. For my limited budget, I need to try to let the hobby partial pay for itself, by selling, or trading for what I want. When I have my 90 days(69 more to go) ... I will be trying to trade on CCF. Beats paying 10% on ebay and 3% for paypal. Question for SsupperDdave (or anyone) ... I have 1 possibly strong MSxx Morgan in a big plastic 2X2, along with five 1964 Kennedy half dollars. All of the aforementionedI have had for about 50 years. If I wanted to slab them, do I try to crack them out or what? As a matter of clarification "Images are permitted in posts within reason. Obviously photos of coins involved in the topic are always allowed and encouraged." I take this to mean you may add a picture of my coin(s) as long as it is in line with the subject of the post? Correct? Only area I need to improve in,is in operating the FIO in picture posting, and in getting my Avatar up This post is too long, but here comes 250 --- hopefully with one (Avatar?) pic.

But TPGs require coins to be submitted in the plastic flips (2.5X2.5 is the preferred size for them) and each coin must be in its own individual flip. They also allow them to be sent in their government packaging. But if you send them in stapled 2x2s theyll send them right back to you and charge you for the shipping.

Bassbal.... They are 2X2 plastic ... about 1/4 inch thick. This was was I got them in 50 years ago. Identifying this is 50 year old tech. The 5 Kennedy half were from a new MINT roll ... I think. I was not a collector back then, but I was offered the coins, from some forgotten person with the suggestion he place them in this protective container. Can't remember the cost ... maybe 50-60 cents for the coin and 50 cents for the container. I just threw them in a can ... and forgot them.

IF you've been reading lots or most of the posts on this forum, you would have read about finger prints on coins. I was sort of surprized at the photo with the finger and thumb on the faces of the coins. Not to good for those coins.

Liberdad & just carl
As I am now typing, I am wearing my gloves.
I have learned my lesson.
The picture is an old picture in my computer.
I have difficulty with my ability to load pics with the tech I have.
Please forgive me.

@Domain yea youd have to take them out of those to submit them. The only thing theyll allow is the plastic flips or the government packaging if its something like a commemorative or ASE. They dont want to spend all day taking coins out of things to process an order or anything that someone could claim they damaged the coin during the removable process.

Are they worth slabbing? Slabbing is not inexpensive, and you have a minimum of coins for an order. Some dealers will let you add to their order, but first I would ask if it is worth it. Slabbing a igh grade can add value, but what of it comes back MS 62? Then you would have spent a lot of money to prove you do not have MS 66 or better coins. I would ask a dealer, and a quick look over might be done free, if you ask.

I really do not want to pay for slabbing. Most likely I will just keep them, or trade-sell them (as is) for something I want.
