I bought this pretty much because I loved the color. It also has some great die cracks around the letters on the obverse and reverse. I am not really a VAM guy so I am not sure about that. Thoughts on grade? Thanks

Looks like there may be just a bit of high point wear, so I'm leaning toward AU-55.

Au58 to ms 62........ Whatever it is, it is a very pretty coin with super duper eye appeal. I like it.
Rest in Peace

Hard to say if it's MS or an AU slider. It is however, a VAM13A.

I changed the title to reflect the correct year.

Yep, that is definitely the VAM.

I understand R-6 is a rarity scale. What does I-3 mean?

I-3 is the estimated interest level by Leroy at the time of discovery. The higher the "I" number the more interest by the collecting community and usually the higher the value (when combined with a low population census or condition rarity).

I'm also in the AU58 range. The reverse is showing some signs of light circulation. I'm not convinced that this coin was not cleaned at some point and has retoned

@ Jmb78blue - It is generally better to create a new thread when asking for grades for a different coin then in the original thread. Also - can you post a picture of the reverse?

Eagle's chest feathers appear worn, along with her hair. I'm on the AU-58 boat as well.
