You would think, if someone is selling a coin for $700,000 that he would include shipping..

What would anyone estimate the market value of said coin actually is? I always wonder about the listing fees for a seller who posts a high start price like that.

Market value is hard to determine for such a rarity. I guess you could get an estimate from the last time it or a similar coin went to auction. But it's definitely considerably lower than the asking price. In all honesty, the price is likely inflated so that he can get views and offers on the item.

The $10,575..that's easy but the $12.00 shipping-that's the deal breaker...!?

Awesome looking coin - but that's enough to fund my retirement
Excuse my ignorance but what is a "Mule" coin?

That's enough to fund everyone's retirement..... He's such a comedian..When he always adds the $12 ..you've gotta laugh......... A mule is a die from another series striking coins that were not supposed to use that reverse or obverse die. The 53 nickel is a perfect example ..Look at the reverse leaf,..the mule has a different die used and the leaf is far from the rim as compared to the vast majority of these 53's,.. where the leaf is almost touching the denticles. Please correct me here if I explained that mule incorrectly.. . .

@Osiris - if you have an ebay store you get a fixed number of listings free each month. So the higher rates for higher starting prices doesn't apply.

this seller lives close to the CAN-US border. He also has an address in the US, across the border. (my mind is working OT) He always buys scarce and rare coins and he has endless and deep pockets. for the last 1-2 years he has avoided forum publicity although he was very active and controversial on forums before he "shut down'. The he decided to send many, many coins to ANACS for mass grading. This way he can claim that his coins are graded by a reputable TPG. I rest my case.
