Nice find! Thx for sharing! I don't know about value. As an error collector, I find it difficult to assign valuations to error pieces. But on this piece, if I were in the market, I'd offer 300,000% of face value .

There is a small cent from the 90s listed in the Charlton catologue. not sure if there is a price but I think it says one certified!

The 2014 Charlton Catalogue states 2 certified but gives no value. You have a real keeper.

Up to you on the slabbing....this error pretty much speaks for itself. Some buyers of this stuff have their favourite slabbers (likely PCGS or NGC) so you might be wasting money depending on who you choose and some are pretty expensive for errors. Prices of this sort of thing are a bit all over the map depending on who shows up at a particular auction. I am going to say $300 on a bad day and perhaps double or triple on a good one. If you put it on ebay let us know. I am a bidder for sure.

Listen DvntMstr...Stay away from ebay with that coin..You will never get what you deserve for it..IMO. Charlton says "ONLY TWO KNOWN"...Would you put a 1936 dot cent on ebay when there is only 3 known...NO Does that give you an idea what to do with it..?

I would recommend slabbing the coin just to preserve it. That coin is copper plated zinc so not sure what the elements would do to the coin. Maybe someone on the forum with knowledge of metals would offer advice on this!

Thanks for all the replies. l spoke to a friend who has been a coin dealer here in Ontario for over 40 years and he has said he will look at it this weekend to give me his opinion on grade. He pretty much reiterated everything you have said here - value depends on interest, slabbing is a matter of preference, etc. Since it will be going on the market l will have to think about how to proceed from here :)
