Hey guys, Im new to this forum and would like some advice. Mind you, I'm not a coin collector and have no idea about a coin that I came across. Its a $1 ULYSSES S. GRANT 2011 D. I received it at a convenience store. I've looked on line and there is a WIDE range of values for this coin. Also on the edge of the coin its written, E PLURISUS,UNUM. Dose anyone have any info about this coin or know how I can find out if its have any value? thanks *** Moved by Staff to a more appropriate forum. ***

Harry Yes this is a dollar from the presidental series. So little interest in these by the public as a circulated coin, many people have never seen them before. I suspect most are sitting in rolls and books in people's collections. Spend it and make someone else's day. Dan

LOL, this is perfect anecdotal evidence of how well received the Pres series is. Glorified transit tokens. They should have just stayed with the Sac dollars.

Really pretty toning. I figure that's not natural, but it should would be nice if it was!
So, on that note, you think the TPGs will ever offer a "GOLD" (GD) designation on these? GD - GB - BN? Maybe they do already and it's just nothing I've ever seen?

Hi, I know that some of the other Presidential dollar coins can be very valuable if the edge has missing lettering that has not been intentionally sanded off after leaving the mint. Where would be a good site to check on this coin and other $1 coins for retail pricing regarding these type of errors/varieties? mdpmedia

 Unfortunately, worth just a dollar.

I got two Presidential coins back as part of my change at a convenience store last weekend. It made me happy to see them in circulation.

Unless there are errors I am unaware of, all president dollar errors are restricted to 2007/2008 before the Mint re-tooled their machine for edge lettering. Supposedly, 2009 and later coins cannot be "godless".

My soda machine at work gives them out if you put a $1 or $5 in and hit change return. I like cycling them through 5-6 times before buying a soda so I can see all the designs in stock!
