Its always interesting to see what peoples goals are in compiling a collection. I will start this one off......as a collector of very high grade Indian Head cents, my goal for 2015 will be to work on the Copper-Nickel stretch of years and upgrade my coins to MS65. Right now, I will have a few coins to upgrade. They are pricy for sure, but over the course of the year, hopefully I can do it with some attractive pieces. Current set has: 1859 - MS63 1860 RB - MS64 1860 PB - MS64 1861 - MS63 1862 - MS63 1863 - MS65 --> Done! 1864 CN- MS65 --> Done! So that leaves me with 5 coins to find in the grade I'm looking for. What is your 2015 numismatic goal?

My goals are pretty modest - 1. Finish catching up on my silver proof coins - need everything from 2007-present. 2. If I can finish that, work on finishing up my set of Franklin halves - still 11 coins short. 3. If I can finish that too, then work on my 7070 album and my Mercury dime set.

Work on my Uncirculated Silver Washington quarters (already have all 1950 - 1964, plus a 1941 and 1942) Start upgrading my circulated set of silver Roosies Continue filling in my moderns (1968 - current) with the best uncirculated and proof I can afford Finish my 1965 PCGS graded SMS set (just need an MS66 or better cent) Find the darn Indian Head cent and Liberty nickel albums that got lost in the house somewhere!!

Hoping to buy a coin this year, which will make it better than 2014.

I bought very few coins this year due to other more important spending priorities, so I'm hoping that 2015 will be a little bit better for my collection. My goals are to: 1. Sell my rolls of LWCs and older Jefferson nickels, a roll of uncirculated Lincoln Presidential dollars, and some extra Wheaties in 2x2's. Then I can have a little bit of money solely for my collection! 2. Keep working on my silver Washington quarter, Barber dime, and Canadian cent collections. I would prefer any extra money I have to go to the first two since silver is so low right now. 3. Keep working on my collections from circulation. 4. Finish up my inventory that's been years in the making. Anyone else feel like that's a never-ending job? 5. Find some nice Mint Sets to upgrade my LMC collection and complete an uncirculated SBA set. 6. Keep upgrading my LWC collection, although that project is pretty much on hold in favor of my other collections.

1. Catalogue my collection in its entirety.
2. Improve my type set via upgrades and filling in holes.
3. Work on my pre-Tang Chinese collection, while filling holes in the Tang, Song, Ming, Qing, and the Tartar and other minor kingdoms.

Add Presidential dollar & ATB Quarters Dansco albums to my collection to replace the three ring binders, CRH for my Kennedy halves album, possibly add/upgrade a few coins in my 7070, and of course buy the 2015 Wedge Tailed Eagles whenever they come out!

I started collecting in January of 2014 and loved everything so I tried to do it all at once. It took me a good part of this whole year to figure out the direction I want my collection to go in. I spent a bit much this year on my college student budget but the goals for 2015: 1. CRH more to update clad collections into higher grades. 2. Work on my 20th century silver, primarily Franklins & Mercs. 3. Add a few pieces to my 7070. I know they're vague, but its what I'll do. As Mister Kairu said, Presidential dollars, ATB, and Kennedy halves need some work for me!

I have some Indain Head cents, Buffalo nickels, and Mercury dimes left to buy; not to mention three Lincoln cents. But I I think I am committed to getting my 7070 completed, with only seven coins left to buy... 1796-1807 Draped Bust Large Cent 1808-1814 Classic Head Large Cent 1831-1838 Capped Bust quarter1836-1839 Capped Half Dollar (Reeded) 1840-1865 Liberty Seated dollar1866-1873 Liberty Seated dollar (Motto) 1873-1883 Trade Dollar Five are realistically obtainable in the next year. The two Liberty Seated dollars will probably blow the budget for the two following years or more.

not likely to happen...but I would LOVE to finish my Jefferson nickel dansco from circulation. Am down to just eight ... but most are the "unobtanium" pieces... 38D, 38S, 39D, 43D, 50D. The easier ones are 46S, 49S, and 52S, these "west coasters" are my nemesis.

Here's my modest goals for 2015: 1) complete my Jefferson nickel albums, 1938-present, including proofs 2) Keep working on my State and ATB Quarter sets from circulation 3) Slowly add to my Liberty and Buffalo nickel albums Simple enough, huh?
