I plan on thinning the herd this coming year. Like Duncanbishop24, I started heavily collecting about 1 year ago, and kinda went overboard. I've ended up with over 20 something Dansco Albums in varying stages of completeness and a heck of a lot of foreign and domestic 'junk' silver and other various foreign coins.
I have decided that I like 'Type' collecting best, so my focus will be on selling off many of my Dansco Albums (I will probably take a loss on much of this, but I consider it coin tuition, since I learned so much along the way) and focusing on my type albums. I have a Dansco 7070, and I am also working on Canadian, Mexico, New Zealand, and Australian type sets.
As far as my USA coins go, I will keep my completed IKE Dansco,
Mercury dimes (missing 16-d), Lincoln cents (1909-S VDB, 1914-D, and 22 no d),
Indian Head cents (missing 1877 and 1909-S),Standing Liberty Quarters (missing a bunch),
Franklin halves (complete w/ 1958 and 1959 Type 2 reverse as well), and Walkers (missing the 1921 and 1921-D).
I will eventually sell or trade:
Liberty nickel (missing 1885 and 1912-S)
Buffalo nickel (missing 1913-s T2)
Jefferson nickel (complete)
Roosevelt Dimes(Complete)
Babrber Quarters (missing many, see my trade list for which ones I have)
Washington, State, and
ATB Quarters (only missing the 1932-D and S, no proofs)
Barber halves ( I have 18, see trade list)
Kennedy Halves(complete, no proofs)
SBA (missing the 79 close rim, and the two proof varieties)
Pres Dollars (complete P&D).
I've already sold my completed
Sacagawea dollars and
Barber dimes.
I really want to do more trading with CCF members in 2015, that is something I really enjoy. I also want to start attending my local coin club.
Oh, and finish my ZOMBUCKS set!
I hope you all have a great Christmas and a Happy New Year!
