This isn't far from where I live. Several pawn shops were busted there a couple of years ago for buying stolen gold and silver and scrapping it right away. State law makes them wait 30 days. I wonder if these thugs knew it was silver, or just tried to dump it in a Coinstar or bank.

How on Earth did the crook carry 915 rolls of coins? An average box is 50 rolls, and those guys (even cents & dimes) aren't exactly light.

I have issues handling 2 boxes (100 rolls) of quarters simultaneously & I'm fairly spry.

Crooks are crafty, but it is surprising they went for the heavy stuff unless that was the target all along. Smells like an inside or at least well-planned job, where they knew there was time to get it all out.

Let's do a little math here. Worst case, assume they were all rolls of dollars (which most of them were). 1 roll of Morgans is 20 coins at about 27g per coin. So 540g per roll. * 915 = 494kg. That's just under 1100 pounds. That's a few trips.

And this is only partially what they took? How'd they get the rest, did they have to crash a van into the house?
