Today I received my order and am Very pleased with the shipping speed, the quality of the entire commemorative 2016 series to date, the Mercury dime, This Standing Liberty quarter too. I, after using a 10x's loupe can see no flaws and overall am delighted with the apparent Quality in the you S Mint's clearly upgraded Quality Control measures they have taken to assure that these remarkable, Classic amazingly brilliant, crisp detailed designs, I have seen in this series. I look forward to possibly being able to be a hopeful in ordering the last 2016 gold commemorative, the Walking Liberty half. Does anyone have a clue as to when that release is planned for the Mint? Thanking You all for the positive, uplifting remarks about this series.........

I'm sorry I can't shared the enthusiasm of others. Mine came with a bothersome stain under E.P.U. so I sent it back today. Will buy something else with the refund.

Ordered my gold SLQ last Thursday at 12:09 EDT. I live in Southern California. The coin ships from Memphis, TN. Did a mapquest and found the distance to my house (largely on I-40) is 1755 miles. Coin arrived today at 2:08 p.m. EDT, so it took almost exactly 170 hours to arrive from the moment my order was accepted. This means my package moved along at 10.5 miles per hour. Of course no one cares how long it took to arrive after it's in your hands.

@Biedercoins, I could have checked the option on the return form to have the coin replaced, but unlike you, my wife was not impressed! Wish it had looked like the coins pictured above!!

JRG - your SLQ and mine have the same die marker on the reverse - check the rim at the 6 o'clock position.

Here is mine. Got it 4 hours ago and am trying out my new macro setup. A Canon EOS Rebel T4i with an EF-S 18-135mm IS lens, a set of auto extension tubes, and a ring flash, all controlled by the computer. I have some other lenses to try and I got a new gadget that lets me turn the lens around (poor man's macro) and still use auto exposure, auto focus, and the image stabilizer. So ... more to come. These images were taken at ISO-100, 120mm, f/16, & 1/200 sec.

Quote: unlike you, my wife was not impressed! I should qualify the statement by saying I had checked the sold listings on eBy and was able to give her that for comparison. I also had a AU original to show her and made a big deal about the history. Full disclosure.

My wife said "it's not even as big as a quarter, and it's mostly empty box" (she's impressed by size). She's right: a regular quarter is 24.3 mm x 1.75 mm, while the Au-SLQ is 22.0 mm x 1.63 mm. I'm more of a classics guy anyway, and will probably pick up something old (and big!)
