Okay so I started collecting coins a little while back, and looked around my house and found 26 dollar coins including 2 of those Susan B Anthony coins. Should I roll them and turn them into the bank, or are they worth more than face value. The other 24 coins are all presidential coins.

Firstly to the community

Secondly, yes they are all only worth a dollar, but they are also the start of a nice collection of SBA's and Presidential dollars. Buy an album and start collecting

There are some varieties of SBA$ and Pre$, but unless they are in mint state they probably won't have much premium above face value

There are some varieties that can be found. To start collecting, you should get the official Red Book, and strike it rich with pocket change. Two GREAT books that will help.

to CCF. There is a known 1979 near date that has a premium even in non Un-circulated grades. http://www.smalldollars.com/

As to those baby sized dollar coins, just not my favorite coin but some are worth saving. You should look into getting an Album for those.

Trade them in at your local coin store in exchange for maybe 15 - 20 Mercury dimes. Collect those instead.

As a new collector you should start with a series that interests you that is within your budget, but before you go hog wild into collecting, educate yourself first with books on coins, grading, And Value.

When I first started collecting I would keep coins that weren't often used in circulation which would include half dollars and dollar coins. It didn't matter to me that they didn't have any value above face, I liked having them because they where something different than what I was used to seeing in my change. I still have those coins today and find it hard for me to get rid of them. If you like them then keep them, regardless of their value and condition.
