Oh my, now I've heard everything! It looks like you got her on her last legs just before she turned into a blank. What a smoking find!

Afcop, you really can't blame the kids for not knowing a coin that normally doesn't circulate much, if at all. Heck, lots of kids throw their change away; many don't even use cash, they use plastic.
I sometimes pay using halves, it cracks me up when they don't recognize the coin. It surely ticks em off when a roll won't fit in the drawer!

if I only have a handful of halves i'll use them to pay for things. I once paid with halves and two dollar bills. it was the longest cash transaction EVER.

Haven't been doing much searching lately, maybe some CRs or asking at a store, but last night went into the Circle K I usually stop at after class, and one of the cashiers that know I collect set down three coins in front of me on the counter without saying a word. I saw a sacagawea and 2 Kennedys, sure I'll take them I said. I never look at them before hand because I take all years and look for errors
etc........Score! a 65, and a 68!!
I think I have 'em trained!

Got a String and Son box from one of my newer ordering banks and got a decent haul! 15 40% and 1 90%! I'm so pumped up, silver boxes have really turned around in these last few weeks. Hope it stays that way!

Hey SD, if dimes are where its at stick with those. Finding silver is better than smashing your head against a wall waiting for some.

Will you still be looking for CWR halves?

Picked up $23.50 in loose and CWR while driving through Georgia yesterday.

2 - 1964 Kennedy's
3 - 1968 Kennedy's
1 - 1978 Proof

Customer wrapped keeps filling tubes for me......and I spent all the rest at Chick-fil-a and Tropical Smoothie.

Went to return halves and pennies today and when I got to the coin machine I looked inside and there was a paper dollar bill inside of the machine past the coin grate. Told one of the tellers and she came over and opened up the machine and handed me the dollar and told me it was my lucky day. LOL good day I guess.
