af classic,
not to depress you, but Socal has been dry for me. at least south of LA, north SD county... I only do CHASE bank. but when I do, I get a lot, 10x hunter's marks... and the last 10 boxes, only 1 40%. jedi, dont worry, I think we are NOT ALONE down here. like I said, many hunter marks on the coins. I stopped with halves and only do cents now for the last month or so. so you know my dumps are long gone, I hope. I'm very curious jedi and afclassic as to what you might find. keep us p[osted

I'm a new member but have been looking thru half rolls off & on for about 3 years. One of the very first boxes I found had a 1908 Barber in it - it was only an AG but still neat anyway. Found a couple of boxes that between them had 83 NICF's in them. One real nice 1938 Liberty - XF and a smattering of Franklins. Still waiting for that nice surprise when I open a box and see an assortment of Franklin's staring up at me from the ends of 15 or 20 rolls!

I'm in Lompoc ca. North of LA. I picked up 340 in crr from boa and all were marked from a local roll hunter. But one roll had a gold prez dollar in it. It put a smile on my face. Well anyways I ordered 2 boxes of halfs and I'll keep you all posted when they come in. Wish me luck!

Brand new to hunting halves. Got my first two boxes today and both were skunks. As a consolation, I found a 1953 Canadian silver dime in the change drawer in my store.

No worries. I've found some interesting things in pennies and nickels - I will keep searching.

Chuckster, what a stunner! Did all the boxes give up a little of the silver, BTW? If so, you might be on a little vein. Dump those clads in a hurry and get right back in there with that cash!

So while I was at the bank today I figured id ask the teller if she had an Ike's. After explaining to her what an IKE was, she said "No, but we have some old 50 cent pieces you might want" She hands me 5 Franklin's. I told I'd take the 4 Susan B Anthony's she had also. "Susan whats?" (1950, 1951-D, 1958, 1959-D, 1962-D)

eddiespin-
2 boxes had 3 Silver halfs each, 1 box had 4(this was also the box that I found both the 64P & 07D Barber) and the last box had 10.
We'll see what tomorrow's 2 boxes from the same order bring.
