I picked up $50 worth of CWR from my local BoA today.
3 40%ers is all I have to show for it but I'm still happy. (had 2 solid rolls of Bicentennials, yuck)

Finally broke my danged drought!
Snagged a 41-S Walker, (2) 64's, and (2) 40% at a small bank in the "boonie" area of a nearby town. This bank looked like it was a converted mansion or something - only one teller desk (yes, an on-floor desk!) even had money in it, and the teller had a ton of cool (non-silver) stuff like brand-new Goldies, deuces, Ikes, etc.
I got the idea from another forum to make a "pirate gold pouch" (a little pouch that I stock with fresh gold dollars from a roll). I don't put any other change in it, otherwise it's just a coin purse, and not a PIRATE POUCH! hahah

Hey achildofthesky Do you just dump those coins in the machine at the bank when you are done? I would go through more boxes but the tellers always look at me funny when I come in with all thise halves to dump. I think they are plotting to get me. I am going to open another account at a different bank, one which has a coin machine as well. I will boxes from them too. Some one on here said they get bags. Where do you get the bags?

I asked the teller at a local bank if she had any halves. She told me that she did not. As I was walking out, she told me to wait, as she had $50 that someone had brought in a few months ago. They were counted in envelopes. There were 82 40% in those envelopes. Definitely turned my day around.

Monkeyman:
No, I dump them at another bank chain that has quite a few outlets in town. I have been just using 2 though so far. I just dropped off a thousand today and the same yesterday at the same place. They seem to be ok with me bringing in thousands in halves every few days. Mebbe someday the guy will growl at me but I have asked several times if he minds and he says quite cheerfully it is just fine.
Be safe Patty

achildofthesky - I would start splitting up your drops. For instance if that chain of bank has multiple locations near you, hit location A, B, C, D, E and repeat with A, B, etc. I got "blacklisted" from one of the PNC's in my area for repeatedly offloading $1000 in halves each week. They wanted to charge me 10% each transaction I made. >.<

Scored (2) 40%'s out of $25 total halves my local bank had to offer.
Later, at a CoinStar, I looked at the screen and noticed each denomination had hundreds of coins listed. Figuring that such a quantity probably had a decent amount of rejects, I asked them (a nice Brazilian couple) if I could buy the leftover Canadian/other foreign coins that were left. I noticed that the guy had two silver dimes in his hand, among other coins. I guess CoinStar rejects anything it can't detect as "real".
I offered him $3 for the handful, figuring to at least be sporting about getting a good deal. The guy tried to give them to me for free, but I insisted he take at least a $2 bill as payment.
He actually ran out to my car after I left the store and gave me even more rejected coins after the fact, but it turned out to be just common foreign junk.
Total proceeds for $2 USD:
$1.00 US (lol) $.85 CAN 32p GBP 2.20 EUR 2.66 Brazilian currency (Cruzados?) 48-S and 64-D silver dimes
Unfortunately, most of the coins were covered with a green goo of some kind, as if it were "liquid corrosion". Nasty stuff to wash off your hands. This is the second time I've got at least a buck from a CoinStar, but have the coins covered in sticky stuff. Almost not worth the effort, really.
Did I violate "the code" by doing this? I felt unsporting taking the coins for free, even if he thought he was doing me a "favor".

Picked up $102 from 3 banks and nearly doubled my 40% output for the year, scoring 12 (half were in one roll!). Also got 1 90% and a BU 87P and 2 more NIFC. My rate of NIFC is crazy high this year!

Stopped by a local Chase bank to pick up some cent rolls and the teller said they had an extra box of halfs from last week and did I want to buy it? My regular boxes are due in tomorrow.
Sure! It ended up being a good move as the box had a total of 8. 3 were 90%- a 52D,63P Franklin and a 64P JFK, plus 5 @40%
Nice start to the week for box searches! :) and I still have 6 boxes to go yet!
