I love my bank! I walked in today to exchange my searched boxes for the new ones. I asked them if they wanted me to roll them up for them or not as the last teller had said it would be a good idea. The head teller came over and handed me some bags while telling me not to bother b/c if I roll them they only have to break them open to put them through the counting machine anyway.
She then asked me if I had found any silver yet. I told her none, but that I was having fun anyway b/c of the NIFC pieces I have found and did not have. Since the day she met my wife and I, she always waves when I walk in the bank. Nice town... nice people... great bank!

Quote: I meant why can't I find any 1987 - not 2007s
Anyone know why I can't find any? Earle42- NIFC, even noted as such in the Bluebook, around 3 million per.

This afternoon I walked into my corner bank (don't normally go there looking for half dollars) to purchase some boxes of pennies. The head teller came over and asked if I might be interested in rolls of half dollars. I casually asked her how much did she have. She said something like $500. I'm used to tellers saying maybe one or two coins, and sometimes as many as 4 rolls. I felt that I had hit the jackpot.
Took all she had and after looking over 6 rolls have found 5 coins with 90 and 40% content and a few NIFC. I can't wait to go through the rest of them.

thanks biggfred! Boxes 17 and 18 tonight skunks I did find 16 halves between 2004-2010. I kept them but am starting to think about releasing them back into the wild because I am starting to get too many nifc's, or maybe just keep a roll from each year. Good luck to all

Alanmx6,
It is interesting you have one there with the wings highlighted in green. I have also had a few just like that in my boxes here in North Carolina.
So, if they are the same, we have coins going from North Carolina and ending in South Dakota.
Too cool to see how these coins move.

First of two boxes this week has produced the following:
2004-D (BU) 1969-D (40% / average ware)
Odd, the only other silver I have found in the last eight or so boxes was also a 1969-D. Hey, I am just happy to see silver!
