Picked up 2 boxes today. Here is the results for Box #1.

3 NIFC
1 1966 (40%)

1996 Canadian $2. It's amazing what you will find. This coin is considerably smaller than a Kennedy half.

Steve Young Collector Coin. It gave me a thrill when I saw the edge. It's not silver though.

A pretty good looking 1974-D DDO.

And lastly, a very sad looking 1986-S Proof. I had to double check it with loupe to make sure it had an S Mintmark. This poor coin has had a rough time.

On to box #2.

I forgot to mention that Box #1 had 381 2001's. That works out to an average of almost 8 per roll. And it looks like Box #2 will contain a similar amount.

Interesting. Went through 2 boxes and got some NIFC.

Then I opened the third box and saw all the bright, shiny 1996 P JFKs smiling up at me. I thought - Oh no - a dud box. It turned out that over 250 of them were bright 1996 Ps that looked as if they came straight from bank rolls. There were a lot more that were either slightly toned or had some dings and I did not count them.

But what was really nice was that on the first roll I picked out, and saw both ends were BU 1996 P, I thought I had an entire roll of them. But when I ripped off the wrapper, there was a silver edge in the middle of the roll. It was a 1964! This is the first 90% I have gotten in awhile.

Boxes 63-64-65 12/7/12

1964 P

250 1996 Ps looking fresh from original bank rolls!

Results for Box #2:

1 1968-D
1 2003-D
1 1972-D (Missing "F"
294 2001

I thought this box was going to be a skunk. I found the 1968 in one of the last rolls. I probably would have missed it if I was just edge searching. It's kind of dirty.

I'm going to go to some smaller Banks tomorrow and see what they have. Some of you seem to be having good luck with picking up CWR lately. It can't hurt to ask.

I'm off to search 2 boxes of nickels. Good luck to all this weekend.

Still tough going around here, worst week in a while.

14 boxes (1) 40%, (1) 90%, (2) proof (clad),(1) 1987, both silvers came from my first 2 boxes of the week, the 90% was an ender, so 12 box skunk streak currently.

Just cant seem to get to 700 40%,maybe next week. Good luck to everyone

Oh yeah everyone talks about the coinstar reject tray. I never see anything in them, but always look. Last week I saw a coin in the tray, reached down and grabbed it, it was a beat up silver War Nickel, that was cool.

Thirteen dollars from two separate banks produced naught but clad. Despite the spread out nature of towns around here it appears there is at least one hardcore half hunter as most banks I go into have none. Not just halves - two dollar bills and even dollar coins are few and far between. The last time I found significant twos I was informed they were brought in 'by the guy who picked up our halves'. Bummer.
