hey whenever I go to my bank and get halves they always give me BRINKS rolls. There is not much silver in them at all. Why would that be?

I started ordering boxes of halves from the bank recently. The first two boxes had no silver, but I did find some from the 2000's, the latest being 2006. The 3rd box had some more 2000's plus a 1967 40%. I just started going through my fourth box last night and lo and behold I found a 1964-D. I can't wait to go through the rest of the box. I let everyone know how it goes.

I'm finding that going to the same branch every month or two is about the right time in my area. More often than that they won't have any each time. Less often and someone else beat me to it.

I keep a spreadsheet of each branch, when I last visited, how many halves (if any) they had, and what, if anything I found. This actually helps a lot because there are too many branches and after a month or two I can't remember when I last visited a branch.

I went to a bank I've been avoiding due to it's loation (smack dab in the middle of downtown and very limited parking). The teller told me that they don't get many half dollars, but had 2 rolls that a man brought in loose and she had to roll them. I graciously took them and went to my truck and proceeded to look inside one of the rolls and saw a bright uncirculated 1968D on the end! Proceeded to my usual banks I stop at and got another roll and a few loose ones. Whwn I got home and went through those 2 rolls there were a total of (25) 40%! Most of it was BU 1968D! I was very happy, Haven't seen much silver in the last 2 weeks!

I've have had terrible luck the last few months with halves. The last four boxes I have done have been skunks, and in my usual two days per week checking of banks in my city and neighboring towns for customer rolls the pickin's have been pretty slim! So, I was due for a day like last Friday!

19 customer rolls

167 90% (21 Walkers, 36 Franklins, 110 1964 Kennedys)
39 40%

The Walkers included a 1917 and a 1920, both very much AG, and a Good 1929s. The rest were all 40's

Best day I ever had!
