There are many clashes from this era that show this rotation while the dies were properly oriented when they struck the coin . Cool find !

It's my first rotated reverse I have found.

Ha ! I guess it's just how you are holding old Abe as to whether he is tilting his head or shaking his coat tails!

Nice find. I have to wonder how many I have passed by over the years by not looking for them.

Earle - thankfully not many (if any). I'm sure lots of minor rotations have slipped through your fingers but a find like this one is somewhat rare.
John1 has looked at millions of specimens; still waiting for a major rotational error like this one.
Nice find DoubleManFlats!

? This is rotated maybe 5 to 10 degrees ? This is maybe within the mint tolerance how is this rare. Am I missing something I have seen a lot of bad information given out as of late. And from people with over 2000 posts? I'm pretty sure if you flip a penny straight over like he did it will have the same orientation. Just like if you held north and south of coin and spun you would have one right side up did and one upside down side. Another way to think of it is top of one side always touches bottom of other side so a vertical flip would not change the orientation.

I was thinking the same thing. I doubt there would be any premium...

I kind of view these collectable when they are at least 45 degrees. Probably the rotation of this die may have happened during a clash. (this sometimes happens) I can't see any evidence from the images provided though.

It looks CW about 10 degrees? I did find a 2014 LSC @ 35 degrees not to long ago,I posted it here on CCF. Yours at 10 degrees doesn't have a premium but a keepable if you have no others or until you find a better one. John1

You know I've always wondered, how do we know a rotation was not say 370° rather than 10°? I guess if the rotation was beyond 180° how could one tell right?

Beyond 180 it would be measured from the opposite clock directory, ... I think, someone check me on that

360 deg. is a circle. No more. If a coin was that, it would be in the medal position.
