Mine was fair to partly cloudy....... I got about $40.00 worth of "P" mint quarters from an Aunt. And from a Cousin I got about 50 foreign coins.......which I know nothing about !! In the box, I noticed some from Germany, Italy, Isreal, and several other countries which I can't identify. He also threw in a Mercury dime and a Wheat Head penny ! I guess I need a book on Foreign coins now....... a year ago or so I bought a bunch for $2.00 at an estate auction.......nobody wanted them, so I thought heck, they're kind of neat South Africa, Phillipines, Russia, Canadian, etc. etc...........so I GOT A WHOLE PILE FOR JUST $2.00 ! And now with my Cousins gift.........guess I better start doing some research and finding out about them.....might even be a silver one or two there !

Other than the two Madison dollars in my Christmas stocking (one with edge lettering UP, the other down), I got some "donations" to my "7100 Key Date Fund". I have resolved this year to complete my LHC album. Wish me luck!

My Father-in-law gave me a stack of "old coins" that his Father had held onto. He just recently found them and threw them into an envelope because he recalled I "liked" coins. They were mostly Lib. Seated dimes in G-VG. The coolest one was an 1876CC in VG. I told him it was quite the gift and he assured that if he came across any more that I could have them.

I received a new album for the Presidential dollars and the George Washington coin, and a sand scoop for metal detecting, so I can go out and find those key dates all the sun worshipers drop.

I rec'd a 22S Peace dollar in decent shape. We do a chinese Xmas, and it's kinda weird b/c noone in our family cept the gift giver collects coins. The gift was supposed to be $50.00, but I think since it's a common date it's maybe $20 or so? Anyway, my oldest coin so far so I guess that's good.

I got the 1901-200? Krause World Coin book from my wife. Yippee!! Problem is, I now have no reason to have coins everywhere and not in 2X2's and sorted nicely.

My coin/note collecting related gifts:
Krause World coin album 1901-2000 - hopefully now I can identify more coins myself without pestering everyone on the world coin board for information - even though I know they're glad to help Silver mint proof set (my first) 2001 American Silver Eagle (my first) $10 star note that my mother's parents found in circulation after I mentioned once to them what star notes were $50 star note from my father's parents - funny thing is, it was this grandpa that got me started on coin collecting and he hadn't even realized it was a star

I recently picked up a lot of the Isle of Man cat coins, at the Money Show of the Southwest. Lovely coins, and it's a little obvious that I'm partial to felines.
My parents kindly finished out the five coins that I didn't have, along with giving me the "family collection" of paper notes. I put some of the neater notes up in my Gallery, in the Notes subsection if any one is curious. :)

Didn't really get anything coin related, other than money which is going into my coin fund. I also got the bill picked up for my 1867 missing leaf Shield nickel.
