I'm planning on replacing 40+ year old Whitman folders (Lincoln, Jefferson, Roosevelt, and Washington). I have an older Dansco 7070 and a Statehood Quarters Littleton album. I like the Dansco better of those two. Are there any others to consider or should I just get Dansco?

I like Dansco a lot, but I don't have a lot of experience here.

The newer Whitman albums along with Dansco are my favorite.

Consider Intercept Shield. Dansco has a better variety.

Another vote for Dansco, but definitely consider the other options presented.

I too vote the Dansco. They look great and are fitting for my fabulous collection. ;P Just wish making custom Danscos was a little cheaper though.

Thanks for the input. I ordered the Dansco albums. Couldn't find a place with all four in stock. So, two vendors got my business.

My vote is for Whitman. Although here is somethings to consider. 1. Dansco is made in the USA. Whitman is made in China. 2. Dansco slides are difficult to get out. Whitman Albums are made with slots at the end of pages to get the slides out easier. 3. Dansco Albums are made with no planning on how many coins are needed per type, therefore many last pages have lots of blanks. Whitman Albums are made so all coins are accounted for per type. 4. Dansco Albums are made to look impressive on the outside but most people hide them away anyway. The color is supposed to make them look like a book. They are almost always hidden so makes no difference. 5. Dansco is a sort of tanish color. Whitman is Blue. Littleton, Intercept shield, and a few others are Green. So if the Album color is important to you. go by that. 6. Most Albums are similar in cost, plus or minus a few dollars. 7. Extra slides are almost impossible to aquire from any of those mentioned. Extra pages are available to a limited amount with most except Whitman.

As to thumbs tabs not being in the Dansco albums - here is how to make tabs so they look and work like Dansco made them: https://goccf.com/t/140384The entire thread tells where to get the inexpensive tools and offers suggestions to make it a very painless process.

Quote: Plenty of extra pages for Dansco... Thanks for that tip. Didn't know Wizard had all those for Dansco. Didn't know Dansco made so many extra pages.
