Yes , by all means have it slabbed. In your multiple photos I noticed very small imperfections on some areas of your coin. may or may not reduce their grade. IMO, MS-65

Natural tone. No hint of cleaning or dipping.
PCGS is tough on cheek hits, and this one has one.
Two tiny spots of oxidation which won't put it into a detail holder.
I'd say 64 RB. Worth the cost of submitting.

Where are you seeing the rub IndianGoldEagle? Usually I can count on you to have the same grade that I do a fair percentage of the time.
So I'd appreciate it if you could expound in detail on your grade of 55. What are you seeing that I'm not?

I'm seeing ever so slight friction on parts of the highest points of wreath and feathers. Nice coin!

I'm seeing quite a range here on the grading. Would any better pictures be helpful? Let me know what you want to have me focus on and I can get those uploaded. The difference between AU55 and MS64 or 65 is quite a bit and will be a game changer as to whether or not I have it slabbed.

Agree with IndianGoldEagle, shows wear, poor strike, bad cheek hits, save your money - 55.

This a common date IHC, so even if you look at the high end of the grade estimates, your coin my be worth $80-$150 at MS 64 and $50-$100 at MS 63. Personally, I think it is a high AU coin. If your sole reason for getting it graded is to get a better price when you sell it, then I think the grading and shipping cost will eat up the difference between certified vs. non certified. Many have suggested in other threads that $150 is a good cutoff value for getting a coin graded. I agree. So, strictly from an economic standpoint I would not get this coin graded.

I agree with IndianGoldEagle and others that there's rub. AU 53 and possible 'details' improperly cleaned (old cleaning). I don't really like the blotchy-ness of the toning or the pink color. That pink color gets flagged alot by the grading companies. Just my experience and my honest opinion. I'm not a professional grader but I have a huge IHC collection, and I don't think you should send it in. Definite obverse wear at the lowest curl to the ribbon, wear above the ear, wear on the cheek, and wear at the eyebrow. Reverse wear at top left side wreath, shield edges, highest points on ribbon knot, and bottom leaf to left side of ribbon knot. This one has a mushy strike as well. This is a perfect coin to keep raw in your collection, fill a hole, or place in an album. Nice pickup and nice coin, but just not worth the grading fees. You'd be in a negative equity position IMHO.
