Dangerous pieces for beginners. They looks like being worn and let some people think they are ancient.

No chopmarks this time?! Is the crew getting lazy? That guy who eats cowpies is going to be disappointed.

Yes - these coins are dangerous - ebay itself has become a very dangerous place. With no effective police force there is nothing to prevent hundreds of new vendors of garbage from appearing each day.

The buyers will be expecting parcels originating in Arizona or Florida, but will in fact be getting an interntional shipment from China? The prices obtained were actually pretty modest, so I'm also wondering how much suspicion versus hope there was at play in these sales. Are we to presume nevertheless that these are the well rendered, correct weight/composition examples you've alerted us to previously, and thus will be very difficult to detect in the secondary market?

I'm still waiting for one to sell around half this price to buy and inspect in hand. I'd rather not pay over $40 for a study piece. I believe they are likely correct dimensions and also silver.

wow, yeah, these are scary. Despite collecting 8s for nearly 15 years, these nearly fooled me. In such cases, what are some of the key indicators of forgery?

Hum, I couldn't find the origin of those online - it's not from the "easy 40 robber's" source nor the other big wholesale places.
I'm not used to check out those though .
