This is the most Buffalo nickels I have ever found in the same roll. Well, two rolls. Most are dateless, but I have two that have good dates and one with a questionable one. All together, I found 18! BIG fun! :) An Ender! All 18 of them! I found the top 8 in one roll and the bottom 10 in another. Two with good dates, 1929 and 1934: What do you think? 1918?

Nice! Very awesome find indeed. It looks like a 1918, yes.

Nice score. Even the dateless ones have a value. People like using them in jewelry. John1

Someone probably thought the dateless ones are worthless and dumped them, but I guess they do have value. (I'll admit, I've acid washed a few dateless ones for a date and then dumped them)

Great finds! It must have been exciting to see them keep coming out of the rolls.

Terrific! You may want to start a pickled nickel set. Fun to find the date out. I put them in a folder and any duplicates get tossed back into circulation.
It was a good day!

Yeah, I was definitely doing a double take when I saw them coming out of the roll and especially excited to find a second roll that was similar!
A "pickled nickel" set sounds like fun! I've never really looked into how to soak them to have the date revealed..... How do yo do that?

those were machine wrapped rolls? wowza!
They all look to have some similar rainbow toning. Pickling might impact the toning.

Yes. Pickled nickels are ruined for sure. But at least you can see what might have been if you were 15 years early.

Awesome! Dates or no dates, at the very least silver is silver!

Rackster, agreed, I nic a date my dateless buffs, and am happy to reveal the results. In this case, the toning is pretty attractive, it might be best to leave these alone.... at least I think that is what I would do.
in this case, nic a date could reveal the date but maybe save the toning that could be lost in vinegar. too many options. maybe best to leave alone and thing about it :-)

What? Buffalo nickels are 75% copper and 25% nickel, no silver...
