Sometimes (more often than not) your eyes see what you want them to see. If I think about it hard enough I can start to see what looks like a D, but I agree this is not a 1914-D.

Even if it was a 1914-D, from those pictures, it would be so eroded and "beat up" that it wouldn't be worth much. By the way, did you find that by CRH'ing?

No, it is not a 1914-D. Even if that was a mint mark, it is in the wrong location to be a genuine 1914-D.

Definitely not a '14-D. Agree that rhe so-called mintmark is in the wrong position.

Sorry to disappoint but it is not a 1914-D. The gouge running vertically directly below the 1 is too long to be the left side of a D mint mark and that makes it an illusion.
