Need an opinion... I believe I may have come across the elusive 1776-1976 D DDO. Photos shot through a flip--some dust, cellophane scratches, and lint. Coin looks much better through a loupe outside of flip.

I do not know this coin but like the look of the "B". The "E" is shelflike, but serf looks DDO.

Google ' Washington quarter 1976 D DDO' and check images on the PCGS site. Mine looks like those. Will take it to coin dealer tomorrow for better evaluation.

I think that the R's look different.

Don't fret -- I've been wrong all week. (I'm blaming the weather. LOL)

Last pic... Coin does have very faint 'warm' coloration. Doesn't show well in photos. Close to tone shown on PCGS site.

Nice find. The location of the mint mark is also a match.

As of now, I'm looking to have it evaluated by PCGS. The coin has been in a container along with other quarters with good eye appeal I've held on to through CHR. Think I pulled it from a roll about a year ago. Finally got around to inspecting them yesterday.

It is worth a slab. to know the exact grade for this would make a big difference in price.

After many months, PCGS graded my quarter...showed up on Monday. A quick photo follows (weak smart phone quality in bad lighting). The coin does not have a proof-like appearance in-hand. Better photos earlier in this topic above. Nice to have the grade of MS64. According to my local coin shop, it appears to be among the very few of the most highly graded of this type DDO. Thinking of selling it.
