Quote: I always surf the forum using the "New Posts" button. It shows all the forum threads posted since I last logged on to the forum. Same here. I have my focus areas, but I try to look at all post titles to see if something needs to be moved.

I always look at the "new" and "recently active" topics first.
I spend time in a lot of different forums but have noticed there are numerous "counterfeit" topics posted lately.
I was wondering why this has been happening and if there should be a section for counterfeits as the new and recently active topics seem to be crowded out by the counterfeit posts.
Just wondering and thanks.

I always click New Posts at the top to see which active topic I am interested in. I would say I spend most of my time in the grading sections and main forum. I use to visit the currency forum often but stopped going because I can't afford paper currency like coins.

Quote: I love the neat feature of seeing the latest active threads below the actual posts on a pageand that's where I find most things I read. This, mostly. Plus the other half of that section (latest new threads), and my profile's topics list. I semi-regularly check for cool new threads in Main Coin Forum, World Coins and Ancient/Medieval Coins. Sometimes (less commonly) I also check Identification. If some thread really interests me (usually, but not always, when I just posted there) I might compulsively check the respective forum every so often for a few days (this seems to happen in Ancient/Medieval or Identification more often than anywhere else, but it's been known to happen in just about any subforum). Used to check US Commemoratives fairly often too, to check the new interesting stories and/or lowball set purchases - not so much anymore now that it's mostly modern NCLT (and the old cool stories are sidelined). There is a section (subforum) for counterfeits, actually. That's kind of the point - we're finally seriously trying to take counterfeits off ebay. But I agree that this is somewhat inconvenient for those of us (apparently many) who try to check the "new topics" tab for actual interesting new topics (and I personally do not care much about ebay either).

I spend most of my time in the U.S. Forums, particularly in the U.S. Classic coin grading section. I also frequently venture over to the main coin forum.

US Classics mostly, but I search all the VAM, variety, and error sub-forums regularity.

I posted a topic about this recently. It hasn't gotten replies, but Bobby seems to have dealt with it. Like many members here, I mainly spend time on the home page looking through the new and recently active topics. I click on anything interesting or anywhere where I think I could help or answer a question. That way, I end up spending time in a wide range of topics (the only ones I don't really visit are bullion and photography). I also subscribe to almost every topic I post in, so I end up checking my subscription notices frequently (I have gotten 3,089 email notices since 11/30, averaging 1 every 15 minutes). I tend to subscribe to a lot of more general topics, so I spend a lot of time on the CRH threads where I enjoy seeing what other members find. Also, if I am going to a certain forum just to post a new topic, I will often get sidetracked by other topics of interest on that forum.

Just looking at the amount of posts and replies should give you that answer.

Well, I guess I will be the first person to say the exonumia forum. I then poke around Main and Canada. I like the US classic because a lot of US classic could really go into the Main forum.
I spend time looking at world paper money and ancient as well.
Is Circus exclusively exonumia?

As a trader who trades for a living and am involved in financial markets across the world everyday, the Precious Metals And Bullion section is my favorite hang out. I constantly watch PM metals and other metals across the board every single day. I like to help out in charting out and discussing price action of all the PM metals. I also enjoy the various world bullion that is made available and released to the public every year. I also enjoy the Canadian NCLT forums, despite these coins being overpriced, I enjoy the discussions by fellow Canadian collectors and there are coins from the RCM that as prices drop, that I like to add to my collection. I want to say I appreciate being able to discuss metal prices and my knowledge on a thread on the PM and Bullion forum, it has been a great joy to share a traders view of the market expressed by price action and to break it down to my fellow collectors and take out the mystery of how the PM markets work on price. this is a great place to be and be with fellow collectors!
