Congrats George. This was the first DDO I ever found. It will always hold a special place in my heart.

I see it when you point it out, but I usually have a hard time with the doubling on the eyes and clothes. It's like my eyes don't want to see it.

Very nice coin, Sudz. I think the ear looks good too..hopefully an expert can confirm it. Where'd you find it?

Quote: . I think the ear looks good too..hopefully an expert can confirm it I hope so too. Quote: Where'd you find it? Just in a bunch of coins I've had for a long time. I've lately been looking through all the coins and coin books I've had since I was a kid (circa 1960's). Yesterday I found a 1945- Micro S Mercury dime and the day before I found a 1931-S Buffalo nickel in very nice condition. I have no idea where or when I collected them. It's a lot of fun.

I collected them by date and mint in the 60's I'd heard of a doubled die, bar nickel, Cud, etc., but didn't start learning what they really are till about a year ago.. right here. Funny I always looked for a Bar Nickel, but it took me till 2015. You're right, it is a lot of fun, any and everything else in this hobby comes off of that. I've noticed the expert appearances on here have been infrequent lately, hope one will look at your coin. Getting late - catch you later.
