Nice coin in any grade That seems to be the co in most Mercury dime collectors need. Including me.

Typically on the "fantasy coins" as I call them, my budget only allows me to acquire them in low grades.

If it were mine it would have been freed from the slab by now. Very nice!

I look at slabs as happy homes. I didn't want to disturb them...LOL

If mine it would have gone into an Album.

It's just a tough resell raw should I ever let it go down the road. Too many faked. I might be in the minority but I really like slabs. I'm a huge fan of them.

And at least when they're slabbed, there's no controversy about authenticity! Great coin!

Quote: It's just a tough resell raw should I ever let it go down the road. Ah, the resell. I have no intention to ever sell my coins. However, if I selling were ever my concern then I would agree that keeping it in the slab makes sense.

I "hope" I don't have to either, but on the stuff that gets frequently counterfeited or high dollar, I just like the piece of mind.

I do have plenty of raw coins, I usually just keep those at $100 and under as a general rule
