A previous post about the future value of the 2012 US proof set has me thinking. Are there any modern coins from anywhere minted since 1992 that will have any future value? What are your predictions on what coins will hold its value or increase in 10 years? This is not a contest because finding out who the winner will take too long, but perhaps some of us will have a nice prize in our collections in the future. I don't know anything about world coins but I would like to hear from my friends from around the globe.

My best predictions in order are:
1997-P matte proof Jefferson nickel
1998-S matte proof Kennedy half dollar
2015-S reverse proof Truman Presidential dollar
My favorite underdog prediction is the 2014 enhanced Native American dollar
My favorite sleeper prediction is the 1994-P matte proof Jefferson nickel

The 2011 20th anniversary ASE set seems to be holding its value.

I like your suggestions, the matte proofs are some of my favorites.
The 1998 Kennedy is my avatar, NGC SP 70.

I think that the success of some coins might depend on the album
manufactures. If a coin is added to a album, so that it is needed to
complete a set, and it is a lower mintage coin it's value could increase.

But it also should be in a popular series.

The 1996 W Roosevelt was added to the Dansco with proofs album,
but we don't see the price increasing very much. There are still some
collectors that look down on clad coins, that could be holding this coin back.
Could this be a under value coin?

I would put all the reverse proof coins, ASE's, the small dollars and
the Roosevelt dime as coins that could have potential.

Some of the error and variety coins should be looked at.
2008 with reverse of 07 ASE
2004 D Wisconsin high and low leaf quarters
2007 Adams double edge letter dollar

Lastly ... When the 1983 to date commemorative dollars take off
in popularity, many of the lower mintage coins will see big increases
in value. Most, if not all, of the lower mintage coins are the uncirculated
dollars. The 1996 Olympic are some of the better coins.
