Evening everyone!

I've been cataloging my coins as of late, and while doing some research, I can't seem to find a value on my 1900 Barber half dollar... It contains no mint mark, that I am aware of. And I can't really find much information on how much it is worth. Granted, it is worth in the ~$7 due to melt value. But what do you guys think, grade wise?

If you follow the Coin Facts link to the Barber half dollar, you will see the mint mark location is between the eagle's tail and the D O. Your coin does not show a mint mark.

Fuzzy317, that bit I was aware of. But I didn't know if there was a different location for mint marks at one point or another. I've seen this happen in some coins in my collection.. That solves that part of the question, lol.

The mintmark was always beneath the eagle's tail. This is just a Philadelphia mint 1900 Barber Half. Worth at most $10 to me.
Rest in Peace

The fact that it's cleaned makes me sad, lol. But out of curiosity, I am entirely new to grading and am absolutely terrible at it. How can you tell if a coin is cleaned? Can you tell because of the amount of hairline scratches that the coin has, or are there other indicators?

Those scratches are the main thing, along with a sort of un-natural brightness that accompanies them.

Ah, okay coinfrog. However, the shine they you are referring is possibly the flash from my camera as I take pictures.. Am still getting used to it, honestly. Though, the coin is slightly bright in person so the point is still valid.
