I miss '(almost) all of the above'. I actually do need quite a bit of money for car repairs and maintenance this month, as well as some vacation budget, most of my local coin shops are closed for summer vacation, I have already bought more than I should have according to my wife, I'm still rebuilding a house which gives unexpected financial 'surprises' and I only have one salary to spend. I'm actually sick of it. Nevertheless, I still have a bulk of unsorted coins, which I will go through now first to keep me busy.

It is a toss between "Can't find the right coin at the right price" and "Cash funds."
Since I have a budget and a plan for the latter, I voted for the former.

It's always cash when you are on a fixed pension.

None of the above is my answer to your poll.

For me it's always cash - never have enough. Coins and notes to buy? Always have too many.

There are currently a dozen things on my ebay watch list, and that's when I'm being selective. For the things on my list, even "the right price" is enough to make me hesitate. In the event something does come up well below that price, there's usually something wrong with it (or the seller). So I'm going with "funds".

Quote: It is a toss between "Can't find the right coin at the right price" and "Cash funds." Bargains I've been spotting in other collectables are also cutting into my coin funds. Got a really nice pre-WW1 oak China cabinet recently for $132, a decade ago a similar piece would bring $600+ at auction. Some really nice furniture and antiques are going for fire-sale prices right now if you know where to look.

I am also with Jbuck ... And KenKat ... And maybe 6 others.
With more funds ... I would buy more coins.
Most of the time I buy coins that are good deals on coins I would really like.
Of course it is possible there are to many coins I really want.

I think Jbuck nailed it. Really, you can buy coins when you're sick.

It's always "Cash Funds"! Just ask my wife! "What have you bought now?"

Well... I just threw out a lot of money for my new phone. No coins for me for a while unless I could sell some of mine off. Not sure if I could hold that long without getting a new coin though.

Most of the coins that I am looking for are considered to be scarce or rare - they appear in the market once a year or less.
The biggest problem that I face is not just the pure scarcity and price of scarce coins but the threat of super counterfeits - this is becoming more serious than what many think.
