I found it in a roll of quarters and I thought the edges where odd and raised more than normal.the sides of it are completely smooth all the way around like there were never ridges at all.

Regardless of how the coin got that way, it was damaged. It is not a mint error.

But there are errors out there so it never hurts to ask.

at first looked like a Dryer Coin, but I think the edge looks too square.

The devices look beat up as well as the rim and edge. Dryer Coin is suspect.

Wondering if the finger nails are gold plated? Thanks, Doug.
